About
A cornerstone of our community since 1866.
Bulimba Uniting Church has been a cornerstone of our community since 1866. As a part of the Uniting Church in Australia we seek to follow Jesus, work for justice and grow as disciples as we serve our community. We believe all people are made in the image of God and deeply loved. We encourage one another to learn more about and grow with God, to care for each other and God's creation, to seek justice and to live lovingly in the world.

Our Community
We are a welcoming, multi-generational congregation. Our community is well-integrated into local life and representative of the Bulimba area.
Our Gathering
We meet for Sunday morning worship at 9:00 am, in the upstairs section of the Church building, with the service finishing around 10:30 am and followed by morning tea. Including songs, prayers and moments for sharing and discussion, we explore together how we can grow in learning to love God and others.
Our Activities
Beyond Sunday services, we host Bible Study groups, prayer groups, playgroups for pre-school children and host frequent social gatherings. We also actively participate in local community and interdenominational events.
Frequently asked
What to expect in our Gathering.
Common questions from first-time visitors — tap any to expand.
When and where do the Sunday Gatherings take place?
We meet every Sunday morning at 9:00 am in the upstairs section of the Church. The address is 216 Oxford St, Bulimba.
Where do I park?
Some parking is available in our small carpark located on the right as you immediately exit the Oxford Street roundabout onto Oxford Street. If the lot is full, the best parking is on Lytton Road as you head away from Oxford Street.
What should I wear?
Anything you're comfortable in. We are casual and have been known to have people contribute to the service in their cycling gear and crocs & socks.
Is there something for my kids?
At the moment there are activities for the kids to do during the service, but no Sunday school.
Can I bring my dog?
An unusual question, but helpful to know that some of our regular attenders often bring their dogs with them to Church. If you think your fur baby would enjoy the experience with you, you're more than welcome to bring them along.
Is there food?
After the service we share a morning tea together and catch up.
How long does it last?
Each Gathering is between an hour and an hour and a half.
What happens during the Gathering?
A typical Sunday Gathering includes music, a message about how the way of Jesus applies to our lives, prayers and opportunities to share and discuss how we are seeing God at work in our lives. On the first Sunday of each month we celebrate an open table Communion, which all are welcome to participate in.
